I started building wooden structures at the beginning of this year. I was looking for a hobby to have some time for myself besides all the care for my 2 year old daughter. I immediately fell in love with building and painting the structures and have not stopped building.
I found the gramophone to be the most fun structure so far, it has many small details and technique. I can’t wait to start on the pinball I got for Mother’s Day !
Rokr gives me peace, creativity, relaxation, challenge and energy.

This is just ONE of the three shelving units I have filled since I started building and painting these wonderful works of art. I received my first (the globe) as a Christmas gift from my son. I had seen some of these builds while visiting my younger son and I was "fishing’ for gift ideas while talking to my older son. I was telling him how I thought they were pretty cool…hoping to get feedback like yes, they were kinda cool. I wanted to buy HIM a couple…(crickets). My plan backfired and he got this amazing build for me instead. That was 18 months ago. Little did I know that it would INSPIRE me to do 80 more of these very enjoyable creations. It allows me to decompress after work and it brings out the creative side in me that I’ve always had. This hobby is the perfect one for me as I love the intricacy of each build. I love sharing it with others in this group who also have a passion for it. I always look forward to seeing the beautiful creations by others as well and I hope you all enjoy doing them just as much.
To me, it is a fun, exciting, hobby full of ingenuity that has inspired me to be more creative. My new passion!

My most memorable experience with Rokr was actually not for me, but when I gave my best friend the Magic Piano for her birthday. My friend lives overseas, and I can usually only give her gifts when she comes back home due to the high shipping costs.
So last year, I surprised her by ordering the set to be delivered to her country and having her family leave the gift at her door. That day we had a video call to celebrate her birthday online. She was really surprised and happy.
And what’s even better is that when she later showed me her shopping cart on AliExpress, the exact piano I gave her was on her wish list !

I got my very first ROKR 3D wood model kit about 7 years ago for my birthday and ever since, I’ve been hooked. Since I am disabled and do not work, these kits keep me busy and entertained. I look foward to get to work on one every free second I have. It also teaches me STEAM skills.
I have learned a lot over the years from doing so many-like wax is your best friend (there’s no such thing as “too much wax!” ) and to be careful with the pieces because although they provide you with “spare parts,” the piece you break might not be on that list.
Rokr has come so far in the 3D wood puzzle world- from plain wood to colors and even motors. I am so excited to hopefully continue in this hobby as I love it so much!
